Responsibilities
- Conduct motor design and performance analysis using electromagnetic simulation tools such as JMAG, Motor-CAD, and ANSYS Maxwell;
- Perform electromagnetic design of electric motors (e.g., PMSM, BLDC, induction motors), including topology selection, slot-pole combination, and winding design;
- Analyze motor performance (efficiency, torque, power density, temperature rise, losses, etc.) and develop optimization solutions;
- Carry out multi-physics coupled simulations (electromagnetic, thermal, structural) to improve overall motor performance and reliability;
- Participate in the design of high-performance motors (high power density, high efficiency, high speed) for applications such as robotics, drones, and new energy vehicles;
- Extract key parameters for motor control strategies (e.g., FOC parameters, inductance, resistance, back EMF) to support control algorithm development;
- Collaborate with hardware teams on motor prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting (e.g., vibration, noise, electromagnetic interference);
- Prepare simulation reports, design documentation, and technical specifications; establish and refine motor design methodologies and standards;
- Stay updated with industry trends (advanced magnetic materials, new topologies, cooling solutions, etc.) and continuously improve product performance.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electric Machines, Automation, Control Engineering, or related fields;
- Proficiency in at least one mainstream motor simulation tool: JMAG, Motor-CAD, or ANSYS Maxwell;
- Solid foundation in electromagnetic theory and motor design, especially PMSM and BLDC;
- Familiarity with key motor performance metrics (efficiency, torque density, losses, temperature rise, NVH, etc.) and their influencing factors;
- Experience in multi-physics simulation (electromagnetic, thermal, structural coupling) is preferred;
- Understanding of motor control fundamentals (FOC, current loop, speed loop) and parameter modeling is a plus;
- Programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for simulation automation and data analysis;
- Experience in developing motors for robotics, drones, or new energy vehicles is preferred;
- Strong engineering practice capability, able to integrate simulation and testing for closed-loop optimization;
- Good technical documentation skills and teamwork ability.
